tgies...
normally I don't talk about this kind of thing with ppl but um... but we're pals and I feel like I have to say something to you.

your icon is killing me.
friends don't let friends mix anti-aliased text with pixel art.
please use one of these.

Image   Image

the top line is 2pt bigger than the bottom which looks slightly off; if you want me to fix it lmk but I think the top line will look too small if I shrink it to bottom-line size so I'll have to rearrange the bottom one to allow for it to be bigger (I might be able to manually space the words but I dunno if that'll look ok) but either way aaaaaaaahhh please stop using your icon

there is significance to the way the text looks it has to be that font with that oversampling on it or else it doesn't work

nice try though

I'm well aware of that but it doesn't mean it's not a graphical sin and bad idea altogether
I'm writing my congressman about this

well it's a grammatical sin as well but i don't hear nobody complaining about that

the grammatical sin is amusinger
but bad graphics aren't funny unless the point of the graphic is to be a bad graphic
anti-aliased O RLY font text isn't inherently funny and it calls for particular use lest it turn into a cat macro -- a symbol of cheap humor
the joke of the bad grammar in this graphic is overshadowed by the poor presentation, much like a cat macro with a genuinely funny line partially ruined by tacky inclusion of the phrase "I are"

if you had some anti-aliased 14pt Times New Roman with no outline on the graphic, that may be funny, because that style of text is never appropriate and always calls the graphic artist's judgment into question, thus making the declaration of victory ironic, which would complement the bad grammar's purpose
at the same time, though, a neatly-enlarged pixel rendering such as this smiley face suggests decent knowledge of a graphics program, which would still contradict the employment of Times New Roman, to the detriment of the overall humor

maybe if the smiley face were more distorted as though it had been resampled, the professional-looking O RLY text would actually be funny
but you can't have it both ways ok

look it has certain significance to certain people ok and that's all that matters

the specific style of the text is the difference between hilarious and mundane to the secret club to whom it means anything in the first place and I suggest you deal w/ it
