this is a great idea until you accidentally plug your guitar amp's input into 120VAC

At that point, it crosses from "great idea" to "sublime performance art"

P.S. Would it make a difference, in this case, if one turned the volume on one's amp up to "11"?

P.P.S. We talking tube or transistor here? I'm guessing it would burn out either way, but 120 VAC might still produce some sound when sent through a burned-out tube.

The loudspeaker is probably gonna get totals wrecked within seconds either way so I don't know that you would be able to get a lot of sound
