gifs load quicker than bmps, and they both load in my browser.

ogg loads a seperate program, while mp3 on livejournal will load a flash player, or i can just click on the file and put it in another tab and listen to it right in the browser.

so i guess unless there's some sort of plugin or add-on that will make ogg files load and play in my browser it's pretty inconvenient.

that retarded little flash thing is really the main reason i don't use mp3 for voice posts; i find it irritating that everything ever needs to call up flash for some minor braindead task

haha same here. flash is dumb sometimes but it's pretty convenient for some things.

i like flash a hell of a lot better than stupid stupid java applets (though that IS kind of a questionable comparison to make but i don't care) but I still prefer to avoid them where they aren't absolutely necessary because i mean firefox is sucking up 200mb of RAM alREADY it doesn't NEED an excuse to eat up even more.
