The kids these days use OpenMPT. It can work with most common module formats.

Or ChibiTracker, which I haven't used. Might be a little harder to use, as the interface tries to stay true to the old-ass trackers.

Popular old-ass trackers include Impulse Tracker and FastTracker 2.

Hell yes.

Mind if I use Impulsetracker or Protracker as those are the only tracker programs I've used.

(Well, there's GoatTracker, but that's not really sample-based...)
