Suuji (who now works for the European Space Agency at a Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales lab, by the way) reminds me that Soyuz TMA-12 docked with ISS not long ago, with the first Korean astronaut aboard. Nobody cares, of course, but I happened to notice that Richard "Lord British" Garriott is headed up there later on. Am I the last person to hear about this?
video game industry semi-celebrities are always getting up to some kind of nonsense.
I don't actually care about video games, but back when I first got on the Internet, all the guys who were a big deal in the PC game industry in its heyday — Cliffy B., John Romero, Tom Hall, et al. — were just kind of On the Internet. I argued with these people on forums when I was 9 years old (as well as having lived near the iD guys and met a few of them on several occasions), so it is always kind of interesting when one of them turns up in jail/rehab/space. They do this with alarming frequency. This is what you get when you mix engineers (insane) with artists (also insane).
