• My uncle just called me "worse than Hitler" in an email CC'd to most of my extended family for thinking that the existence of change.gov isn't a sure sign that Obama is going to demolish the federal government and set himself up as the first dictator of America. Like, he said, "you are worse than Hitler."

• I got a call from a voice casting director for a major video game studio which was neat but it turned out they thought I was in Bellevue, WA as opposed to Bellevue, NE
• Suuji Tanaka mailed me this thirty-page comic she drew which is interesting (a) it's written in three different languages; (b) we somehow both independently have had the idea of using "HIGGS!" and "BOSON!" as comic sound effects, and that is freaky as hell; and (c) it is kind of weird to see a comic written in Japanese which is not drawn in that style they all ripped off from that one guy who was ripping off Disney and Betty Boop
• also I found out that I am definitely for sure going to see Suuji in December which is great that kid owns.
• this morning i woke up with the best song ever in my head and i spent all day recording it and it is great
• I was hanging upside down due to circumstances and my back did something weird and I swear I'm a little taller now.
• Buy stock in bulleted lists now because I'm not gonna stop making LJ posts in this format any time soon

Valve Corporation. My name, address, bio, and samples of my work are listed on some voice actors' agency database somewhere. The Department of Defense paid to have me listed on there as part of my payment for some voice work I did for an Army training aid a while back.

I don't know if they solicit auditions from the general public.

I considered flying out there, but they weren't offering enough money and I can't really take the time out to do it. either it was an extremely minor bit part or valve doesn't know how much you're supposed to pay voice actors. or they were playing the "this guy doesn't have an agent, maybe we can fleece him" game.

Of course, I'm still interested to figure out what sort of profitable investment potential there is in his policy decisions. Just because I don't agree with them doesn't mean I can't make money off them :D

My family totally lost their minds over Obama winning too. As soon as CNN called it, my mom sent me an international SMS consisting of the text "HE WON" followed by exactly as many exclamation points as would fit into one SMS

And yeah, I agree with you. He was running against the Republican equivalent of John Kerry.
- Served in Vietnam, wouldn't shut up about it.
- Won the primaries out of some strange consensus he was more "electable"
- Not actually greatly liked by his base at all, main appeal was "He's not the other guy"

And well, it's not surprising that the Republican John Kerry had exactly the same fate as the real one. About the only difference was the matter of McCain's bizarre VP pick but I think that bullet has been well and truly dodged by this point.
