it's the same here (1.4GHz AMD somethingorother)

though I can play the 1280x720 30p xvid I uploaded just fine. I think flash must not be using video overlays

(Note that you're not gaining much, the video is 720x360 as produced, but uploading at anything less than 1280x720 results in the highest resolution available being 480x270, &fmt=18 mode)

yeah [livejournal.com profile] tehslugbug has a whole lot of old cameras and tape machines and stuff and he does things. he is basically an improved alternate version of me that has the same sort of ideas but then actually acts on them instead of reading wikipedia all night

we have a sort of """collective"""/"""band""" called BOX TEAM (http://box-team.net) (old website alert) but we haven't really released anything in a while

i dont have space or money for an electronics bench so i guess im stuck with fruity loops and learning how to track. im way ahead of you on the talking about doing things and then not.

also The funny thing about "(old website alert)" is that it isnt that bad, but then again i love looking at old websites.

the thing is that slugbug doesn't spend any money on anything which is kind of hilarious

it's all dumpster/thrift store finds and i think the most expensive things involved in the production of that video at any point were the ~$500 computer and the $99 microphone

the downside to that is that good thrift store finds are kind of few and far between so one ends up accruing tape machines over the course of 5 years

and yeah that website isn't too terrible except a lot of the stuff is out of date and the whole "ALL CAPS!" aesthetic seems kind of dumb to me now and is no longer in line with the sort of thing i have on my mind and the sort of themes i am playing with. also it's structured poorly

i figured as much from watching his youtube. i totally agree with not spending money but still i would want to have some sort of bench, table, area to do shit on which i neither have money or space or time for. :\

also again, seen worse.
