This email is to let you know that you, yes you, have just been given
five (5) oh so special DreamHost Invitations you can use to invite your
friends and colleagues to DreamHost!

Of course, they don't NEED an official invitation to sign up, but if you
email them and tell them to use one of these five invitation codes:

[NUMBERS]

... they will get all these super special advantages not available any
other way:

* They will get four (4) times the normal disk and bandwidth!
* If they choose our five-year plan, they'll get $150 off!
* If they choose our ten-year plan, they'll get $200 off!
* YOU will still earn a full $97 for each person who signs up!
I've been using DreamHost since forever and they're p. good

if anyone wants one of these email me or something I guess

I also have a coupon code which will get you fifty bucks off

Eh, I have very mixed feelings about DH.

On one hand, they offer a lot of services with a very easy to configure user panel for a very low price.

On the other, their tech support is abysmal and their uptime has been less than optimal. The former is intentional on their part because they assume the latter won't happen, but it does. Blech.

Then again, I'm in a cluster that seems to always be a source of trouble. Others may have a more positive experience.

I haven't had those problems, but I do have one friend who said he had similar problems when he was on an old cluster. He asked them to move him to a newer cluster and they went away.

Yeah, I had this problem too. I intended to try out their "DrEaMhOsT pS" shit because I thought that it might A) be fun to goof off with their sort-of-dedicated-server-whatever-the-fuck that it is and B) help with the RIDICULOUS amount of downtime I had been having, but it ended up costing WAY more than I had anticipated (their advertising is pretty good!).

I asked to get moved back, they got SUPER anal about it and I ended up having to pay ~$80 more on my bill than I wanted to just to keep my server halfway stable because they would not move me back to shared hosting. Eventually, they ended up citing Stepmania (a freeware DDR simulator) as "illegal warez", and removed my hosting plan, after almost 4 years of using them. Neat-o.
